Job Description

Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the insurance industry to hire an experienced full-time Director of Operations . This individual will serve as a critical member of the leadership team, managing the day-to-day business operations and driving service excellence across multiple functions including customer service, agency services, vendor management, and systems UAT. The Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership to execute operational strategies that align with growth and scalability goals.

What YOU will do:

• Lead operational teams including customer service, endorsement processing, and agency services, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction

• Define and monitor SLAs and KPIs across all operational departments

• Manage vendor relationships to optimize contract terms, service quality, and operational cost

• Oversee print/mail fulfillment processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of communications

• Lead systems user acceptance testing (UAT) for platform enhancements in partnership with IT teams

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Underwriting, Claims, IT, Compliance, and Finance to align operations with broader business goals

• Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and operational scalability

• Manage team training, performance, and development initiatives

• Serve as the escalation point for resolving operational issues and providing ad hoc business support

• Support corporate business continuity and disaster recovery plans

What YOU will bring us:

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field

• 10+ years of insurance operations experience, with 5+ years in a director-level or senior leadership role

• Strong background in a property insurance MGA (Managing General Agency) environment

• Proven track record in managing cross-functional operations teams and achieving service goals

• Experience leading vendor management initiatives and service level performance metrics

• Strong involvement in systems implementation and UAT coordination

• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance regulatory standards and operational best practices

• Leadership skills including team development, strategic thinking, and process optimization

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Adaptability in fast-paced and evolving work environments
